Look What Punky Found ::
Crafty is Cool

Now I REALLY wish I could crochet! These might just be the motivation to get me to move beyond the basic chain stitch.

I can't really take credit for 'finding' this on my own. This listing was featured on the front page of Etsy this morning. I guess I can take credit for refreshing my screen at the perfect time, right?

When Moishe's little face appeared, I smiled and knew I had to share it with you.

These adorable patterns are only $5 from Crafty is Cool. Be sure to check out the other wonderful patterns she has available, like Max:

EtsyTwitter Team Shop of the Week ::
ThreePeats

Walking through a local thrift store last week, I saw a small glass case filled with an odd mix of old beads and chains, some finished pieces and some broken items that I'm sure were quite cool in their heyday. I couldn't help but think to myself, "I wonder what Suzanne at Threepeats would do with these?"

I'll tell you what she'd do with them...she'd take them apart and turn them into something new and wonderful! Just take a look around her shop and you'll see what I mean.

Her beautiful creations are made from upcycled vintage beads and chains, and even T-shirts! I'll share a few of my favorites:

Unique T Shirt Yarn, Bead and Lace Necklace (Blue and Grey) made from Recycled T Shirt Yarn, Vintage Beads and Lace, Felted Wool Beads:

Unique Statement Necklace (Chartreuse on the Loose) -

Recycled Vintage Beads and Chain in Spring Green and Teal

From her profile:
I've always collected vintage jewelry but didn't wear much of it. It was too heavy, too fragile or too tacky! One summer I decided to see if I could use some of the beads and chain from broken pieces I had to create a necklace I would actually wear...one that was long, light and versatile. When I got compliments on the necklace, I started creating them as gifts for family and friends and got more compliments. threepeats was born!

SPECIAL OFFER:
20% off all orders (not including S/H) Enter ETT in the “notes to seller” section. Refunds will be sent to buyers’ Paypal accounts.

I'd like to also share a link to a heartbreaking story about a 12-year-old girl who just recently lost her battle with Osteosarcoma, a rare form of cancer. This sweet amazing girl is a true hero and inspiration to all that know her and know of her.

We need to find a cure for all cancers, but especially those that affect our precious children.

By day she's an engineer.

At night she switches off a tiny part of her analytical side and lets her craftiness shine as she becomes 'Super Melissa'!!

Take a look around Made by Melissa's shop and you'll see an eclectic mix of hand crafted jewelry and beautifully crocheted items.

I especially love this Halloween Star Baby Blanket:

Filled with Whimsy

I'm excited to share the talents of this week's EtsyTwitter Team Shop of the Week: Pretty Whimsical.

I must admit that when I'm in need of a little pick-me-up, I often find myself browsing her shop and I always end up smiling!

From her profile:
I express myself through arts and crafts. I have been drawing, painting, crafting and sewing since childhood. I fill my surroundings with bright, cheerful colors and love using fun, whimsical designs in my pendants. I collect antiques and items that remind me of my country upbringing. I'm a full time wife and mother and appreciate the opportunity to sell my jewelry on etsy.
These are just a few of my favs from this super talented artisan:

This is SO true around my house!

This week's special: Buy two pendants and get one free. (Note: Do not add free pendant to your cart. Simply add the name of the pendant you would like free in the “Message to Seller” section of your checkout form.) Don’t forget to add your chain onto your order if you need one!
